Construction of the new ECS high school is slated to occur during the 23–24 school year. With our mission rooted in the building’s design, the facility will be a one-of-a-kind, net-zero school through Passive House Design and RESET Air certifications. ECHS will fully embody the school district’s drive to create a healthy, equitable, and inclusive space for its students and community, and it will rise as a leader in the sustainable development and architecture of schools in the Pittsburgh region.
